  • Next Play is a directory, not your agent or referral source. You are solely responsible for your services.
  • Everything you submit must be true, and you keep your licenses and insurance current.
  • No offers that break NCAA or school rules, no fees charged to athletes, and job posts link to your own site.
  • Brand deals: verified businesses only, athletes apply on your site, and no deals for alcohol, gambling, tobacco or vaping, cannabis, adult content, weapons, or similar categories.
  • You indemnify Next Play for claims arising from your services or listing.

This agreement applies to any provider, employer, volunteer organization, or other business ("you," "the Business") that claims, creates, or manages a listing or posts an opportunity on Next Play. It adds to the Terms of Use. By checking the box when you claim a listing, you accept it on behalf of the Business.

1. Free listing

Listing, verification, analytics, and job and volunteer posts are free. Next Play will give at least 30 days' notice before introducing any paid feature, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.

2. Next Play's role

Next Play is a directory. Athletes contact you directly by phone, email, or your website. Next Play is not your agent, employer, partner, or referral source; does not take part in your services; does not collect payment for you; and has no responsibility for any agreement or relationship you form with an athlete. You will not describe Next Play as endorsing, recommending, or guaranteeing you.

3. Your promises

You confirm that:

  • you are authorized to act for the Business;
  • everything you submit, including licenses, insurance, credentials, and listing details, is true, current, and yours;
  • you hold and will keep every license, registration, and insurance policy required for your services;
  • you will tell Next Play within 10 days if a license lapses, is restricted, or is disciplined, or if insurance ends;
  • you follow all laws and professional rules that apply to you, including advertising, privacy, consumer protection, and employment laws; and
  • you are solely responsible for your services, advice, fees, conduct, staff, and any harm arising from them.

4. Working with athletes

  • You will not offer current athletes anything that you know or should know breaks NCAA, conference, or school rules. Any athlete offer must be approved by Next Play before it appears, and must tell current athletes to check with their compliance office.
  • You will not use the Platform to recruit athletes to a school, act as a sports agent, or offer NIL deals unless that is allowed by law and the athlete's school rules.
  • You will not contact athletes who have not contacted you first, or add athletes to marketing lists without their consent.

5. Job and volunteer posts

  • Posts must describe a real, currently open role and link to your own application or sign-up page.
  • You will not charge applicants any fee, and you will not post commission-only, multi-level marketing, or pay-to-work roles.
  • You follow all equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, and child labor laws.
  • You handle all applications, hiring decisions, and volunteer screening yourself. Next Play does not screen candidates or volunteers.
  • Next Play may review, edit for format, decline, or remove any post.

5a. Brand deals

  • Only verified businesses may post brand deals. Collectives and other associated entities may not.
  • Athletes apply on your own website or link. Any deal is solely between you and the athlete. Next Play doesn't negotiate, pay, or guarantee any deal.
  • Every deal must state what you're asking for, the pay or product value, who can apply, and an application deadline.
  • Next Play doesn't accept deals involving alcohol, gambling or sports betting, tobacco or vaping, cannabis, adult content, weapons, or similar categories that schools commonly restrict. Next Play decides what counts as similar.
  • You may not charge athletes any fee, and you won't ask current athletes to do anything that breaks NCAA, conference, or school rules. You will require athletes to clearly label every sponsored post (for example, "#ad" or "Paid partnership with Brand") as the FTC's endorsement rules require, and you won't ask them to hide the relationship.

6. Listing content

You give Next Play a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your name, logo, description, contact details, and photos in the directory and in Next Play marketing that shows the directory. You confirm you have the rights to that content.

7. Removal and suspension

Next Play may remove your Verified check mark, your listing, or your posts at any time, for any reason, including those in the Directory and Verification Policy. You may close your account or ask us to remove your listing at any time.

8. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Next Play and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your services, your dealings with any athlete or user, your listing or posts, your breach of this agreement, or your violation of any law or professional rule.

9. Limitation of liability

The disclaimers and limitation of liability in the Terms of Use apply to you. Because the listing is free, Next Play's total liability to the Business is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
